The Aviation Factory SCAT VII P51 Mustang experience is completely impossible to describe in just a few words, because it's just so outstanding in every way. You don't even have to be a flyer, to feel the true adrenaline rush of this great historical aircraft. The combination of professionalism, excellent hospitality and exceptional standards of the aircraft itself, are utterly amazing. Plus it's so easy to arrange. From London, via City airport, direct to Antwerp airport, a 200m walk to the Aviation Factory to meeting the team, see the aircraft and then begin the presentation of the history of SCAT VII. With the safety briefing and equipment checks done, there is nothing more to do than experience the true feeling of those young pilots of WWII, by stepping into this magnificent aircraft and go flying. The overall experience is mind blowing, I really had to pinch myself afterwards, whilst having a beer in Antwerp City. What an incredible day out and exceptional value for money, plus the aircraft is dual control.

> Kort na het vastleggen van de vlucht heeft Brigitte mij verrast met het geweldige nieuws. Ik had altijd al een zwak voor alles uit het WWII en na oorlogse tijdperk, en de geweldige verhalen van de helden en hun prachtige toestellen, bij het lezen van Buck Danny strips, dat zijn kinderdromen die nooit ver weg zijn geweest.
> Maar echt meevliegen in een warbird is iets waar ikzelf nooit van had kunnen dromen. Zittend in de Mustang P51, klaar voor take-off op de startbaan, bracht die kinderdromen tot leven. Mijn enige vliegervaring was als passagier van verkeersvliegtuigen type 737, en deze schroefaangedreven Mustang was dan ook iets heel anders. De krappe zitplaats, al de instrumenten rond je, de helm en vliegersoverall met parachute, was niet iets wat je in een normale vlucht tegenkomt.
> Het starten van het toestel, het ruwe geluid, de trillingen en de geur van verbrande benzine, brachten mij terug uit de droom - dit was echt ! Klaar op de startbaan kreeg ik het wel even benauwd, maar dat ging direct over bij de take off. Het vliegen zelf was een ervaring die ik nooit zal vergeten. De manoeuvres van de Mustang deden me denken aan de dogfights, en de aanvalsvluchten die het toestel ooit moet gedaan hebben.
> De kans die de piloot me gaf om het toestel voor een paar minuten zelf te besturen, was de kers op de taart. Ik was een warbird piloot voor één dag !
